Another great project that I was very happy to be a part of, this time going out of the usual Mr. Hair adventures following a new character - Super Hero Steve. Winner of the Best Platform Game in the GOTY 2023 awards.
The game was developed to promote RetCon 2023, a retrogaming convention hosted in London around the Halloween period, hence the theme. A small print run was made for exclusive distribution inside the event and after that Teknamic did a second edition available to the general public.

Regarding the music, the main theme is a funky danceable tune, not too far from what I've been doing for other games like Kitty Katakombs or Rat-a-Tat, but this time with a creepy, spooky twist.
The menu theme was originally one of the sketches I wrote for the main theme, but we felt it wasn't very adequate, so we ended up using it for the menu.
As for the rest, there's not much to say, except that the Game Over tune is a rework of one I've done for Project ZX 1.5, a game by Richard Langford.

The story goes like this:
Super Hero Steve is your host for the much anticipated Retro Convention, full of exciting computers, consoles and arcade machines. A fantastic day is expected to be enjoyed by all, but there's one tiny problem... the venue is haunted by mischievous and pesky ghouls. They are not best pleased about having their home invaded and are determined to put a stop to the fun. They have snatched and hidden all the awesome retro gear, locked the main gates and thrown away the key. The success of the event up to you now. Dodge the ghosts' devilish traps, find all the hidden items, retrieve the gate key and open everything up before everyone arrives. The clock is ticking!
